Ishikawa

Ishikawa's Inari Shrine is a revered Shinto site, located at the foot of Mount Katsuyama. The shrine's significance dates back to the Heian period (794-1185 CE), when it was built as an altar for rice fertility and prosperity. Over time, the shrine has become closely associated with the kami Inari Okami, patron deity of industry, agriculture, and education.
