Cultural notes
Oazaki Shrine is famous for its beautiful autumn leaves and its association with the legend of Inari Okami, who was said to have hidden his rice in a bamboo forest. The shrine also holds an annual Autumn Leaves Festival (Koyo Matsuri) to celebrate the changing colors of the leaves.

The shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed by lightning in 1923.
