Rich in history, Fortuna Shrine in Tottori Prefecture is dedicated to the worship of Otori Shichimaru's spirit and the Shinto deity Susa-no-o, while also honoring the local kami, including the god of prosperity, wealth and fertility. The shrine was originally built on a hill near the old capital city of Iwami in 1327 during the Muromachi period and has been renovated and expanded over the centuries.

Fortuna Shrine is famous for its unique structure, which features a large bell and a unique shrine complex with several halls. The shrine is also known for its traditional festivals, including the 'Otori Matsuri' held in May, which celebrates the founding of the Otori clan.

The shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in 1936.
