Cultural notes
The shrine is associated with the god of wealth, Inari Okami. During the autumnal festival, known as Otsuya Matsuri, the shrine's hollyhock blossoms are said to symbolize good fortune and prosperity. Visitors can also participate in the traditional ritual of offering rice balls to the kami.
