八千代大明神

Shiga

The Eight Hundred Year Grand Shrine is dedicated to the god of prosperity, wealth, and good fortune in Mikawa Province. Founded during the Imperial reign of Emperor Churyo (r. 876-884 CE), this Shiga Prefecture shrine has been a revered site for over nine centuries. Its name reflects its long history and grandeur. The shrine's architecture is characterized by traditional Japanese style with red lacquer and black shingles, typical of Kamakura-period construction.
