Located in Gunma Prefecture, Akakomine Inari Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity of rice and fertility, known as Kamikome no Okami. Cultural notes
Akakomine Inari Shrine is closely tied to the mythology surrounding the rice goddess, Kamikome no Okami. The shrine also hosts a annual festival, called 'Kawarasaki Shrine Festival', which takes place on the 10th of December. Additionally, the shrine's gates are adorned with lanterns and cherry blossoms during the spring season, creating a stunning display of color.
Historical note
The shrine was founded in 1612 during the Edo period, during the reign of Tokugawa Iemitsu.
