Ishikawa

Noto Wood Shrine, located in Ishikawa Prefecture, is dedicated to the kami of the forest and woodlands. Its name literally means 'many trees' or 'forest spirit'. The shrine is situated near a small river and features traditional Japanese architecture, including a thatched roof and sliding doors. According to local legend, the shrine was built by a legendary priest who was said to have been granted power by the forest spirits.
