Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Ōjin is often invoked for good fortune and protection. The shrine is also associated with the legend of Hata no Kōroto, a mythical figure said to have been born from Ōjin's sword. During the annual Ifriya Shrine Festival (May), locals perform traditional dances and offer prayers for a bountiful harvest.
