Ishikawa

Cultural notes

Eight Hills Shrine is famous for its association with the legendary sword of Hachiman-gami, said to have been wielded by the god himself. During the annual Spring Festival (Hanami), devotees offer sake and mochi to the shrine's kami, seeking blessings for a bountiful harvest and military victory.
