Located in the town of Takasaki, Anbina Hachiman Shrine is a well-preserved example of a Heian-period (794-1185 CE) shrine, featuring a large torii gate and a peaceful garden. The shrine honors Hachiman Okami, the Shinto god of war and protector of travelers. As one of the oldest shrines in Gunma Prefecture, it has played a significant role in the region's history and culture.
