Tsukimiya Shrine in Tokushima Prefecture is dedicated to the deified spirit of the sea, Tsukiyomi-no-kami. Cultural notes
Tsukiyomi-no-kami is also associated with the legend of Urashima Taro, a fisherman who rescued a turtle and was rewarded with a visit to the underwater palace of the dragon king. During the Moon Viewing Festival, shrine visitors can pray for good fortune and prosperity.
