Visitor tip

Cultural notes

Ryodein-jinja Shrine is also famous for its association with the legendary spirit of the Nakasendo route, said to appear in a dream vision to a local farmer who was traveling at night. The shrine's grounds feature several festivals throughout the year, including a spring festival to celebrate the arrival of spring.
