The Shōden-gu Shrine in Gunma Prefecture is dedicated to the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, as well as other kami including Ryūjin and Fujin. The shrine's current structure dates back to the Meiji period, but it sits atop a site believed to have been sacred since the Edo era. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from its grounds.

Cultural notes
As a Shinto shrine, it is believed that Ryūjin, the Dragon God, and Fujin, the Wind God, also reside within its grounds. During the annual Shōden Festival, which takes place in December, visitors can enjoy traditional dances and music performances.
