Cultural notes
Fujitsubo is also associated with the legend of the wind god Fujitsubo no Okami, who was said to have blown away a mountain range and created a new path for the gods to descend from heaven. Visitors can experience this myth in action by walking along the winding path that runs through the shrine's grounds.
