Located in the town of Fujieda, Fujiyoshida Shrine is dedicated to the kami Fujitsubo, a goddess associated with the god of storms and the winds. The shrine was originally built during the Nara period (710-794 CE) but has undergone numerous renovations throughout its history, including significant reconstruction efforts after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

To avoid long lines, consider visiting Fujiyoshida Shrine early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun is not shining brightly.
文化的背景
Fujitsubo is also associated with the legend of the wind god Fujitsubo no Okami, who was said to have blown away a mountain range and created a new path for the gods to descend from heaven. Visitors can experience this myth in action by walking along the winding path that runs through the shrine's grounds.
