Located in the town of Agematsu, Gunma Prefecture, Ōgei-jinsha Shrine is dedicated to the deity Ōgei-tsumi-no-kami, a kami associated with the forest and its inhabitants. The shrine's architecture reflects the Heian period style, with a main hall featuring a shirasagi (crane) roof tile, a symbol of longevity and good fortune in Shintoism. Visitors can explore the surrounding forests and enjoy hiking trails, as well as participate in traditional festivals such as the Ōgei Matsuri held in May.

The shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed during the Edo period.
