Located in the city of Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, Eight Horseshoe Shrine is a prominent Shinto site dedicated to the goddess of the sea and fertility, Konohana-sakuya-hime, as well as the god of war, Susanoo, and other kami. The shrine's architecture reflects its history spanning over 1,000 years, with multiple rebuilds during the Nara and Heian periods. The shrine complex features a beautiful vermilion torii gate and a scenic garden along the Matsue River.
