Tangi-ji Shrine, located in Gunma Prefecture, is dedicated to the Shinto god of agriculture and fertility, Hachiman. The shrine complex features a striking wooden torii gate surrounded by a serene garden. Established during the Nara period (710-794 CE), it has undergone numerous transformations over the centuries, with notable renovations during the Kamakura and Edo periods.
