Visitor tip

Cultural notes

As a major Shinto pilgrimage site, Eighteen Shrine is known for its unique 'sakaki' forest, where sacred trees are believed to hold spiritual power. The shrine also hosts an annual Hachijisan Matsuri festival in November, featuring traditional music, dance, and offerings to the deity.
