八天神社中宮

Saga

Located in Saga Prefecture, Eight Deities of Heaven Shrine is one of the oldest shrines dedicated to the Eight Immortals (Hachiman’s eight companions), a group of divine beings in Shinto mythology. The shrine is believed to have been established during the Nara period (710-794 CE). Its architecture reflects the Heian style, with a distinctive vermillion torii gate and intricately carved wooden structures. Visitors can enjoy traditional festivals such as the 'Aki Matsuri' autumn festival and 'Furusato Festival', celebrating local heritage.
