Aomori

Located in the heart of Aomori Prefecture, Sanju no Sato Shrine is one of Japan's oldest and most revered shrines, dedicated to the three gods of the sea: Ryujin, Urashima Tarō, and Namahage. This historic shrine has been an important spiritual center for locals and sailors alike since its founding during the Nara period (712-794 CE).
