Mitsumine Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Gunma Prefecture, and it is one of the most sacred shrines dedicated to the worship of Hachiman, the god of war and patron deity of the Takeda clan, who was born in the area. The shrine complex spans over 1 million square meters, making it one of Japan's largest shrines. Its architecture reflects its historical significance, with a distinctive haiden-style main hall, torii gate, and a beautiful garden designed by famous Japanese landscape architect Katsuragi Kiyozumi.

Cultural notes
Mitsumine Shrine is famous for its association with the legend of Ōei Daimyō Takeda Shingen and his sister, Takeda Reigetsu. According to myth, Takeda Shingen's spirit was enshrined here after he died in 1573. The shrine also plays a significant role in the annual Cherry Blossom Viewing Festival (Hanami) held in spring.
