Located in the town of Dau, Aomori Prefecture is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Benzaiten, but this shrine focuses on Benzaiten as Seiwa-tenjin, which has been worshipped at this site since ancient times. The main hall of the shrine is a Heian-style construction dating back to the 8th century, making it one of the oldest in Japan.
