八坂神社

Shiga

Located in Shiga Prefecture, Eight Sacs Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of the eight saccu, or 'eight sacc' rice paddies that once grew in the area. The shrine is associated with the legend of Ryoma Sakamoto, who was said to have visited the shrine before his assassination.
