Located in the city of Nagahama, Ōoka-gi-tsu-no-kami Shrine is a lesser-known Shinto shrine dedicated to Ōoka-gi-tsu-no-kami, the kami believed to protect fishermen and sailors. Visitors can explore the shrine's tranquil grounds and admire its unique architectural style, which reflects the traditional Japanese design of nagaya-bansho, a type of gabled-roofed temple. The shrine is particularly famous for its beautiful cherry blossom viewing area during spring.
