Ise Grand Shrine's cousin in Japan, Dewa Sanzan, features an Indra worshipped as a storm god similar to Inari Okami of the Shinto religion, but it is believed that the primary deity of Akita's Ise Grand Shrine is Inari Okami, often referred to as Kami of Rice and Fertility. The shrine is known for its large, beautiful torii gate and traditional architecture. It is also famous for being the first shrine in Japan to be rebuilt after a war.
