Kasuga-jinja Shrine is a sacred Shinto site located in the mountains of Iwanaoka, Shiga Prefecture. Its origins date back to the Nara period, with records showing that it was built during the reign of Emperor Shōmu (715-724 CE). The shrine complex includes numerous vermilion torii gates and shrines dedicated to various deities, including Kasuga-okami, the primary kami enshrined here.
