Overview

Yadokan is a casual, room-only budget inn in Setagaya, Tokyo, open since 2013. Housed in a former wooden apartment building with a Showa-era retro feel, it sits a 3-minute walk from Setagaya-Daita Station on the Odakyu Line and within walking distance of Shimokitazawa. Guests come for work, leisure, entrance exams and job hunting: the concept is simply "a place to sleep," with all private lockable rooms, no curfew, 24-hour access and a hands-off style so you can relax as you would at home. Rooms include air conditioning, a shower toilet, free Wi-Fi, washbasin, bedding, TV, fridge, electric kettle, hair dryer and a toothbrush set (no sleepwear). Shared facilities include two shower rooms, three shared shower toilets and two microwaves. All rooms are non-smoking, with a smoking area outside the entrance. Long stays and weekly plans (7 nights/8 days or more) are available, and overseas guests are welcome.
