Located in the city of Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, Yakushi Jinja is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of medicine and healing, Yakushi. The shrine's architecture reflects the Heian period style, with a wooden torii gate and a traditional honden (main hall) adorned with intricate carvings. Visitors can purify themselves at the temizuya, a ritual purification station offering fresh water from the sacred source.
