Toyokawa Inari Shrine, located in the town of Miyashima, is one of Japan's many Inari shrines dedicated to the Shinto god of rice, fertility, and industry, Inari Okami. Visitor tip
To purify before making an offering, walk through the vermilion torii gate twice, facing east each time, to symbolically ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune.

Toyokawa Inari Shrine is known for its unique 'hikifune' festival, where participants dress up in traditional costumes and parade a miniature shrine barge through the streets, accompanied by drumming and chanting.
