Suga Shrine, located in the town of Daigo in Ibaraki Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of fishing and agriculture, Ōkami. According to local legend, the shrine was established by the 10th-century samurai lord, Mōri Motonari's grandson, in memory of his ancestor who drowned at sea. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical importance as a regional center for trade and commerce during the Edo period.
