Located in the city of Aomori, toohei yama iwa (太平山碑) is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Hachiman-gami, the god of war and patron deity of the Taira clan. This shrine is situated at the foot of Toohei-yama mountain, which is said to be the birthplace of the legendary Taira no Kiyomori. The shrine's architecture reflects the traditional style of Heian-period temples.
