Indore Shrine, located in the heart of Miyagi Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Inari Okami, the god of rice and prosperity. The shrine's architecture reflects traditional Japanese designs, with a main hall featuring a vermilion torii gate and a large honden (main shrine building) adorned with traditional tatami mats and sliding doors. Cultural notes

Indore Shrine is famous for its 'sai' festival, which honors Inari Okami and features traditional dances, music, and food. The shrine is also known for its unique torii gate, which is adorned with thousands of small lanterns during the winter solstice to celebrate Yamabiko (winter solstice).
