Cultural notes
As a major Inari Shrine, Tadakura Inari is also believed to be inhabited by numerous kami, including Okami, the god of fertility, and Futsunokami, the god of prosperity. The shrine's torii gate is adorned with thousands of vermilion lanterns during the autumn festival, which are said to symbolize the abundance of rice.
