鹿島神社

Visitor tip

Cultural notes

Kashima Shrine is connected to the legend of Kashima Sanzan, a group of three sacred mountains believed to be inhabited by the kami Ōkuninushi and his attendants. The shrine is also famous for its 'flying goddess' festival, held annually in July.
