樟本神社

Ehime

Tree Tree Shrine is located in the heart of Shikoku, a sacred island believed to be the dwelling place of the sun goddess Amaterasu. Dedicated to the Shikotsu-kami, a forest spirit revered by the indigenous people of Ehime Prefecture. The shrine's architecture reflects traditional Japanese design, with a vermilion gate and wooden torii, surrounded by lush greenery. The temple grounds are said to be home to numerous trees, including sacred sakura and cedars, believed to possess mystical powers.
