Located in the city of Sapporo, Hokkaido's largest city, Sanbetsu-Ōta-Matsuri Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto deity Ōta-no-Kami (also known as Ōta-Tsukuyomi). The shrine is situated at the confluence of the Ōtō River and Ishikari Bay. In 2019, it celebrated its 50th anniversary since its founding in 1969, reflecting the rapid modernization of Hokkaido during this time period.
