Located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido's largest city, Tsukisato Shrine is a tranquil oasis amidst urban bustle. Its origins date back to the Meiji period (1868-1912), during which it was built as a memorial for the samurai from the local Tsurui clan. The shrine is dedicated to the kami of fertility and prosperity, Fukagawa Hachiman-gami, and is famous for its stunning cherry blossom trees.
