Tennoseki, or Tenno Shrine, located in Hyogo Prefecture, is one of Japan's most famous Shinto shrines dedicated to the god Amaterasu, considered the sun goddess and a symbol of the Japanese imperial family. Dedicated to the worship of the Emperor Meiji, it was founded in 1888 by order of the Emperor himself. The shrine is known for its grand architecture, beautiful gardens, and traditional festivals.
