The Ise-Shima Dayo Shrine, located in Miyagi Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. The shrine's architecture reflects its connection to the nearby Tsutsugano Cape, which is said to be the location where the sea goddess Namahage was defeated by the hero Susanoo-no-Mikoto.

Historical note
The shrine was rebuilt in 1897 after a fire destroyed the original structure.
