爱宕神社 (Ametora Shrine) is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Dedicated to Amaterasu Okami, the sun goddess and primary deity of the Japanese imperial family, the shrine is one of Japan's most famous and revered Shinto shrines. The shrine complex includes several buildings, including the Honden (main hall), the Haiden (outer hall), and the Shintoku-den (treasury).
