Korikozasa Misaki Shrine, also known as Akita-ichi Shinsho Taisha, is a Shinto shrine located in Akita Prefecture, northern Japan. The shrine was dedicated to the deity of medicine and healing, Korikozasa no Mikoto, who was believed to have cured a plague that afflicted the region.

Cultural notes

As a Shinto shrine dedicated to medicine, Korikozasa Misaki Shrine is associated with the mythology of Japanese healing and the worship of the god of sickness, Karyū no Okami. The shrine also celebrates the Aoi Matsuri festival in May, which honors the shrine's deity with rituals and ceremonies.
