Located in the heart of Akita, Sanlight Shrine is a sacred Shinto site dedicated to the worship of Ryujin, the Japanese dragon god and water deity. Built during the Edo period (1615-1868), the shrine's main hall is adorned with striking vermilion gates and wooden beams. Visitors can explore the shrine's tranquil gardens and forested grounds, which are said to be inhabited by the gentle spirit of Ryujin.
