八幡宮

Hyogo

Located in the city of Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, Eightfold Temple Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the deity Otori Yoritomo, also known as Hachiman. According to legend, Hachiman was a kami who appeared at the site where the temple now stands and blessed the area with prosperity and good fortune. Over time, the shrine became an important stopover for travelers along the famous Nakasendo Highway.
