Cultural notes
The Kubikakushi-no-Kami is believed to be the guardian deity of travelers who have lost their way. In traditional times, visitors would leave offerings of sake and incense in hopes of finding a safe path. The shrine also hosts an annual festival in May to honor Kunitoki-no-Mikoto, featuring traditional dances and music performances.
