Located in Akita Prefecture, Tsukushi no Okami no Miyabijima Shrine is dedicated to Tsukuyomi, the Shinto god of the moon and the east. Built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), the shrine's Main Hall and outer shrines are renowned for their impressive wooden structures and beautifully landscaped gardens.
