Indra Shrine, located in Akita Prefecture, is one of the oldest Shinto shrines dedicated to Amaterasu Okinami, the sun goddess. Established in 718 AD during the Nara period, it showcases a unique blend of Heian and Kamakura architectural styles. The shrine's distinctive seven-story pagoda, constructed in 1646, symbolizes Indra's divine power. Visitors can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets, local sake, and scenic views of Akita City.
