The shrine's name, Daisubaru, translates to 'Great Cedar Shrine,' reflecting its original wooden structure, which has been rebuilt several times due to fires. The current main hall, built in 1908, is designed in the traditional Japanese architectural style of Momoyama, featuring a distinctive red-tiled roof and a pair of large wooden gates.
