Cultural notes

Ryuzenji Shrine is dedicated to Ryujin, a kami believed to be the dragon god of the sea and protector of the province. The shrine also honors Enma Daiō, the ruler of the Underworld, in recognition of his role as a guardian deity. In spring, visitors can witness traditional festivities honoring these two prominent deities.
