Akita

The Ōdō-zon Shinto shrine in Akita Prefecture is dedicated to the deity Inari Okami, a primary kami of rice and fertility. The shrine is famous for its numerous vermilion torii gates that form a tunnel leading up to the main hall. Built in 1701, it has been rebuilt several times due to fires, reflecting the region's history as an important center for agriculture. The shrine is also known for its beautiful cherry blossoms and autumn leaves.
